To the Florida Chapter members:
I am very pleased to report that FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate has appointed Teresa Scott of the City of Gainesville, Florida to the FEMA National Advisory Committee. APWA recommended Teresa for consideration and stressed the importance of a public works presence and perspective on this advisory group. She will be here in Washington in mid-February for a series of NAC meetings.
As you may know, Teresa has been a very active member of our Emergency Management Technical Committee, including serving as chair in the past. Our sincere congratulations to Teresa.
