The Southwest Branch consists of Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Hendry and Glades counties. Although this branch was not formed until 1985, representatives of this area were heavily involved from the earliest days of the Florida Chapter.

The Southwest Branch has been holding steady the last few years with a membership of approximately 117. The Branch continues to support local community agencies, helping those less fortunate by collecting canned goods for the Harry Chapin Food Bank, gathering bath toiletries for the Lee County Homeless Coalition and performing road cleanup as part of the Adopt A Road program in Fort Myers.

The Annual Ben C. Pratt Scholarship Golf Tournament raises money for scholarships to students and professionals looking to study in the field of public works. Each year the tournament supports approximately $2,000 in scholarships to local students.

The members of the Southwest Branch are eager to serve and promote public works within the State of Florida.
