The Suncoast Branch of the Florida Chapter of the American Public Works Association was founded in 1993. The Suncoast Branch covers the area of Manatee, Sarasota, DeSoto, Hardee and Highlands Counties. The meetings are held in Sarasota.

Meetings
The Suncoast Branch holds monthly breakfast meetings with the exception of December when no meeting is held. At each meeting an interesting program of timely topics to the public works community is featured.  Meetings are held at the Dutch Heritage Restaurant, 3713 Bahia Vista Street, Sarasota, starting at 7:30 AM typically on the fourth Wednesday of the month. As always we extend an invitation to any member outside our district to join us! So please feel invited.

Activities and Events
The Suncoast Branch hosts an Annual Scholarship Golf Scramble typically in November. In the last 16 years (1998 - 2013) a total of just over $100,000 has been raised for our scholarship fund.
